Hello, my name is Rita B. I am a country singer and entertainer, and I perform live at clubs and pubs, and other venues throughout Essex and beyond. Ever since I was a child, I have loved to perform. Wherever I have been in my life, I have always carried my music with me. It has helped me through a myriad of life experience, including the lows as well as the highs.

has remained a living, breathing thing.
Now that I perform at numerous live events, I have the opportunity to share my passion for music with my guests. Sharing the experience with them
makes me feel as if I am performing
the songs for the first time. I am honoured to have shared important moments in people's lives such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries.
When I visit retirement and care homes,
I perform for people who have come
from diverse backgrounds. But as soon
as the performance begins, a bond is established between us, and the music unites us in a mutual understanding of what we have in common, and the differences disappear. It gives me pleasure to brighten the days of my guests, and it enriches my life too.
Some guests like to relax and listen to the music, and perhaps drift off into their own world. Others are there for some serious fun, and enjoy nothing more than to get up on the floor for a spot of dancing/line dancing.
My 'Tribute to Brenda Lee and Friends' includes numbers from Patsy Cline such as 'Crazy' and ‘Sweet Dreams’.
If you are in the mood for line dancing or simply want to listen, join me with the Ladies of Country, for songs from Mary Chapin-Carpenter’s ‘Down at the Twist & Shout’ and ‘Passionate Kisses’, Gretchen Wilson’s ‘Redneck Woman’ and ‘California Girls’, and Jo Dee Messina’s ‘Heads Carolina, Tails California’ and including songs by Crystal Gayle, Carlene Carter, LeAnn RImes and Taylor Swift.
Though I am happy to share a trip down

I am continually updating my repertoire, and if you have a favourite song you would like me to perform for your event,
I can usually accommodate you if you give me enough notice.
From time to time I also perform duets with a selection of fellow artists, and I will recommend this to you if it appears to be appropriate for your event.
As well as being a performer, I am also a lyricist, and a member of the International Songwriting Association and the Musicians Union, and have collaborated with other musicians such as Lyn Sheppard and Slava Zenin. See my links page for more details.
On my Listen to Rita B page you will find sample soundtracks from my two albums, and if you like what you hear and would like to purchase a CD, drop me an email.
My most exciting news is that I am currently working on my first album of self-penned material. I have teamed up with South Wales songwriter, John Holt, http://www.zhonray.com, and I believe that the music we are producing is my best yet. You can hear the first single from the album, Wasted Tears, on You Tube – just click the link below. I am hoping it will soon be available for download on iTunes and UKCountryRadio.com’s online music store. The second single, Then Love was Young, will be released shortly – so watch out for it on You Tube and listen out for it on UKCountryRadio.com.
